Technology: Variable Valve Timing (VVT), Flex Fuel vehicle
Estimated Fuel Economy (city/hwy): 23/32 (I-4), 22/29 (V-6 with gasoline)
Estimated Fuel Economy Improvement: 8%

The all new 2007 Chrysler Sebring is available with three energy saving options. The standard Sebring comes with a GEMA I-4 engine that uses dual VVT to achieve a 8% increase in fuel economy and 15% increase in power over other I-4s. The vehicle also comes with an optional 2.7L V-6 flex-fuel engine that can run on gasoline or E85. A 3.5L V-6 is also available and comes mated to an automatic six-speed transmission that helps improve fuel economy by up to 8%.

Chrysler invested over $500 million to revamp the Sterling Heights plant and neighboring stamping plant to build the new vehicle. The investment helped to secure 5,000 jobs at the facilities.

For the 2008 model year, Chrysler will begin production of a convertible version of the Sebring.
