The vehicles will come standard with GM's 3.6L V6 VVT engine and GM's six-speed automatic transmission.

GM invested over $800 million in construction of the plant. The facility created 2500 UAW jobs, and helps retain as many as 28,000 direct and indirect jobs in the Lansing area. In addition, the facility is the first automotive plant to be LEED-Gold certified. The design of the plant will allow for significant energy and water savings over the life of the facility.
