DaimlerChrysler’s Indiana Transmission II plant now produces a high efficiency five-speed automatic transmission for rear wheel drive vehicles. The transmission’s precisely controlled shifting optimizes vehicle performance and fuel economy. The transmissions will be used with 5.7L HEMI V-8 engines.

DaimlerChrysler invested $455 million on expansion and renovations at the Indiana Transmission II plant. Renovations were completed in 2003.
